Here's an update on activities in the Chorlton Co-op Cluster
Next Cluster meeting
New time:
7pm - 8pm Thursday 16 May 2019
Hardy Lane Co-op Rooms, above the Co-op, 349 Barlow Moor Road, M21 7QH
Note: The meeting planned for Saturday 11th is cancelled
News and projects for the cluster:
All our meetings last just one hour. We focus on what we can do to make the Co-op work better for members and the community and how we can work with other co-ops.
Chorlton Funeralcare hub to close
The iconic Chorlton Funeralcare hub is to close.
We hope to have or get answers at our meeting on 16 May- so make sure you come along and bring others too.
Hardy Lane Coop rooms open (again)
Good news. The Co-op has fitted emergency lighting and we can use the Hardy Lane rooms again.
So that's where we will be on 16 May in the evening. Come and share a glass of wine (or soft drink) with us.
Co-op AGM and voting
If you're a Co-op member then don't forget to vote in the elections for National Member Council and member-nominated directors before 13 May. You can also cast your vote on motions for the AGM, or attend in person on Saturday 18th May at Manchester Central.
Make sure you cast your votes for candidates before 13 May.
In the North West there are three vacancies on the National Members Council with 24 Candidates (best put the kettle on).
You can get the details of these candidates here.
There are three candidates for two directorships, so real choice here too:
The AGM is Saturday 18 May 2019, Exchange Hall, Manchester Central, Petersfield, Manchester, M2 3GX at 10.30 am
We're the Chorlton Co-op Cluster - local Co-op members making our voice heard in the Co-op and working with other co-ops in the community. We hold short informal meetings every two months and we organise local activity around issues like Fairtrade. The Co-op recently made a short filmabout us for people interested in forming groups like ours in other areas.
Anyone who is interested in co-ops and co-operation is welcome to join us.
